Where To Find Tonberry King’s Crown In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The side quest The Saga of the Seaside Inn tasks you with finding the infamous Tonberry King. In this guide on Where To Find Tonberry King’s Crown In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth we’ll walk you through tracking down this legendary creature as there are several quests and other objectives involved before you’re able to reveal the creature’s location.
You receive this quest from Johnny, as part of the Saga of the Seaside Inn quest chain. It’s a quest you receive outside of Costa Del Sol but you will not be able to complete the quest when you first receive it. That’s because the Tonberry King is in a part of the desert you cannot access from North Corel. When you meet Johnny, you find him at the Borderland. This is an area of water blocked off by large branches and twigs. You cannot swim across or use a Chocobo.

Instead you need to follow the main story until you complete the Gold Saucer storyline. This will give Cloud and party a buggy they can use. This buggy can be used to explore all areas of the desert, including the part over the other side of the Borderland. Once you have the buggy, you then need to track down the 6 Lifesprings for the Corel area.
There are 4 Lifespring locations in South Corel and 2 in North Corel, shown on the maps above. Once you have found all 6 Lifesprings, Chadley will call you and tell you about the location of the Tonberry King. You can then head to the location, take it out, and obtain the Tonberry King’s Crown.
There are two outcomes to this battle. If you defeat the Tonberry King in the normal method, you get a Marred Crown. If you want to get the nicer Tonberry Crown, you need to steal it once the Tonberry King has been pressured and drops it on the floor.
