Sony and Square Enix Partner for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

The powerhouses at Sony and Square Enix have entered a continued partnership around the upcoming release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

As part of this partnership, Sony BRAVIA XR televisions will serve as the official gaming TV for this release. This set will feature auto HDR tone mapping and an auto genre picture mode that will automatically switch between Game Mode and Standard Mode.

Perhaps the biggest feature is Cognitive Processor XR with XR Clear Image, which serves to analyses and recreate content through a human lens.

When it comes to the game menu, the Sony BRAVIZ XR will feature HDMI 2.1 support with features like 4K/120, VRR and ALLM. Note that one can fine-tune things by quickly turning off (or on) VRR or Motion Blur Reduction. Also supported is a Black Equalizer, six different types of Crosshairs, and screen resizing features.

Another part of this partnership are the new Sony wireless gaming earbuds INZONE Buds and the Sony INZONE M9 gaming monitors. The INZONE Buds support both PC and consoles, featuring personalized sound, up to 12 hours of battery life, and low latency. Meanwhile, the INZONE M9 features a 4K resolution and Full Array local dimming.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come out for the PlayStation 5 on February 29.
