E3 2022 might not be happening this year (pour one out for this absolute legend), but there’s still some great gaming stuff planned for the month of June. On that note, here are the 5 best games of May 2022. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.

Capcom Fighting Collection
Ten of Capcom’s most popular arcade games will make their way to consoles with the release of the Capcom Fighting Collection.
Included in this collection are Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness, and Red Earth.
More than 500 illustrations and development materials will be included, along with more than 400 music tracks recorded from the arcade versions.
Capcom Fighting Collection will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on June 24, 2022.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
An expansion to the original Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom comes out with another heavy hitter this month with the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Abnormal events threatening this kingdom caused by Malzeno, Lunagaron and Garangolm are at hand as players take off in this new adventure set in a distant land. New abilities for all 14 weapon types have been included, along with the inclusion of new enemies and returning foes.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will come out for the Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30, 2022.
Mario Strikes: Battle League
Mario and his friends will hit the pitch once again with the release of Next Level Games and Nintendo’s Mario Strikers: Battle League.
This five on five soccer game kicks things up a notch with aggressive tackles and attacks, items like banana peels and shells, electric fences, and Hyper Strikes that can net players two points per goal.
Players can customize their players for speed, strength, and pass accuracy, and up to eight players can play local multiplayer matches. A “Club Mode” where groups of up to 20 players can create their own game season is also available through its online components.
Mario Strikers: Battle League will come out for the Nintendo Switch on June 10, 2022.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Featuring 1 vs. 1,000-style battles and deep strategy, players will take control of Shez with the release of Koei Tecmo Games and Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
This musou takes cues from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors musou games, letting players take on hundreds of opponents, all while using elements from Fire Emblem to maximize their overall strategy. Players can also issue orders to achieve missions and objectives, and one can also equip weapons, skills, and classes that capitalize on each opponents’ weaknesses.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will come out for the Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022.
DNF Duel
The triple threat of Neople, Arc System Works, and Eighting are teaming up to bring the world of Dungeon Fighter Online to the ring with the release of DNF Duel.
10 characters from the series will make their way to this 2.5D fighter at launch, with the sly Ranger and frenzied Berserker joining its ranks.Each character has its own Awakening effects, and true to the series form, players must also track their MP Gauge and White Damage Gauge. Exclusive servers have also been included for those looking to take the fight online.
DNF Duel will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 28, 2022.
